We had an Anti-Bullying Assembly this morning, so we did not have math class.
Homework: Write the spelling list. Keep one column at home to study. This week we have homophones and easily confused words, so extra practice at home will be needed. Our Wax Museum was a great success! Thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend.
Monday marks the beginning of the 3rd quarter. In reading our focus will switch to mysteries. We will continue with our fractions unit in math. In science, we will do a quick two week mini unit on waves and then move into our environmental science unit. We will be incorporating more of the Pilot Light program into science this quarter. Many of the students are in the need of new notebooks for school. Look for a note coming home as to whether or not your child needs any. Also, we are starting to run low on Kleenex and paper towel. If you did not send any with your child at the beginning of the year, it would be great if you could donate some next week. We could also use some ink pens. I want to get the students writing more in pen for reading and science. Thank you in advance for anything you can contribute. |
