This week we will be switching over from multiplication to division in math. It is very important that you continue to work with your child on his/her multiplication facts. I am expecting all students to have mastered their facts by the time they leave for winter break (100% in four minutes or less).
During reading, we will begin to learn about cause and effect in informational text. Spelling word list for this week includes words with the i before e, except after c and in words like neighbor and weigh. achieve neighbor brief pierce ceiling receipt deceit receive field sleigh niece weight Students are to sort the words by spelling and sound (3 columns) on page S10 of reading notebook. Students are to correct their math test from last Tuesday.
