Monday begins the last week of the first semester, and we have a lot going on!
The Living Wax Museum is taking place on Thursday from 9:00 - 10:00 in the cafeteria. Your child should come to school dressed as their person. They should also have a change of clothes for after the wax museum. They should be working on their speech every day, so that they can have it memorized. They can bring their index cards back on Thursday for support if needed. They should sound like they are talking to someone and not reading, so work on their fluency with them. They will also need to bring a prop that represents their person. We talked about examples in class today. This is their end of the unit reading assessment. In science, students are working on completing their roller coaster project. They will be presenting them Thursday afternoon as their final science assessment of the quarter. Our division math unit is over, and we will begin working on fractions. If your child has not yet mastered their multiplication facts, please take 15-20 minutes a night to help them learn their facts. Many errors on math assignments and tests are coming from not knowing their facts. Remember there is no school on Friday, February 3rd. Comments are closed.
